What is Spindle Bobbins Crash Protection?

 A stainless steel spindle rod fits through the front wheel securing in place an aluminium spacer covered by an hard-wearing nylon bobbin head.   EP's innovative design allows the slider to flow with any impact grab while the robust aluminium is expected to be first to receive impact, hoping to protect the front end.
