Warmer

The purpose of tire warmers is to heat the tire compound using an electrical resistor embedded in an insulating fabric, ensuring optimal grip and safety from the very first meters. This does not compromise the tire's structure.

A standard electric blanket is calibrated at 80°C, so it takes about 50-60 minutes to evenly heat the tire to the required temperature. To prevent overheating, a sensor inside the blanket acts as a thermostat: it stops heating at the set temperature and restarts it if it drops. A good electric blanket is one that heats the tire evenly across its entire width.

Motorcycle tyre warmers are used mainly on the track.
