Ist ein EP-Kühlerschutz wirklich notwendig?

100% ja. Ein EP-Kühlerschutz schützt den Kühler der V-Strom 650 vor leichten und schweren Schäden durch Straßenschutt und lässt gleichzeitig Kühlluft durch. Der Suzuki-Kühler besteht aus dünnen Kühlrippen und Innenkernen - die Rippen verbiegen sich leicht und blockieren den Luftdurchgang, was schließlich zu Überhitzung und Verringerung der Motorleistung führt. Die inneren Kerne könnten auch durch Trümmer durchlöchert werden, wie z. B. ein Stein, der vom Vorderreifen des Motorrad oder anderem Verkehr aufgenommen und direkt auf den Kühler geschleudert wird. Das Ergebnis ist eine schnelle Überhitzung des Motors, und wenn das rutschige Kühlmittel auf die Reifen spritzt, kann es zu einem plötzlichen Haftungsverlust kommen.
